Property Investment Loans

Home > Property Investment Loans

Property investment loans need to be structured differently to a standard home loan, but unfortunately most banks treat them the same.

As a mortgage adviser I deal with a lot of people that have or need property investment loans, and I know how to approach these correctly.

There are a lot of Kiwi Property Investors that have just one rental (investment) property, but many want to have more and this is where it becomes really important to get the finance structured correctly – and generally not all with one bank.

Flexibility is Important

When you need property investment loans you want them to be affordable, but also flexible.

Many accountants (and advisers) will suggest that a loan supporting investment should be interest only at least in the initial years.

Access To All The Options

There is a range of banks and loan options to choose from, and of course some are better than others especially when it comes to how they test affordability.

The banks are restricted by the banks own policy, but often by rules from the Reserve Bank too; whereas some of the non-banks are able to offer options that are not limited to the same extent by rules imposed on them.

Working with Mortgage Managers I have access to most banks and non-bank lenders so you know that you will have the options to consider.

Let’s Look At Your Situation

If you need property investment loans then we should look at your situation, the options and what is important to you.

It costs nothing to have a look, and at least then you know what is possible.
